Flux is so much fun to play in Xyris. It's funny to see how much everyone starts thinking about it cause they're basically deciding how many snakes to give me.

Id personally prefer amphibian downpour over utter insignificance if you would value the flash on it that heavily. It can be super devastating for just one more mana

To be fair, Utter Insignificance requiring specifically colorless mana means it's less desirable.

It also ruins their next draw! Fantastic for a spell which isn’t too great but gives a bit of value because it ruins the next turn if it’s early game, and late game, one turn often wins the game

Utter Insignificance is good, but the ability to pay to Exile it makes it less useful against commanders who can just activate it and go to the zone instead of exile.

Hot take, but Witness Protection and co. are NOT worth putting into your decks with maybe the exception of enchantress. Darksteel Mutation gets a little bit of a pass since it's harder to get your commander out from under it.

I once lapsed a dude who tapped all the way out and sacrificed his whole board for a torment of hailfire. I didn’t win but I did take him from a win to a loss for 3 mana. Felt good.
