I use clove oil with water in a small hand sprayer, 10 drops , more clove oil for larger sprayer. Numbs them to death.

Other than Japanese beetle traps, I’ve had no luck with anything else either. My rose bush looks awful too, but does have new growth. Your right Nicole, they win!😡

The only good thing is they also eat the invasive Japanese knot weed that has also taken over, but they prefer my roses too. There are Japanese beetle traps out there that work. Try one of those somewhere near your roses. People feed the hundreds of thousands they trap to their chickens.

Scotts GrubEx Early Spring and Again Mid Summer for the first year, then annually mid spring to keep them gone and when they show up from other properties in strength, Seven Liquid Concentrate to kill them so they don't repopulate your property. From there you should notice a significant decrease in population where you may find the simpler solutions keep them under control and manageable but I just stick with Seven.

They're awful! My rose bushes are rose sticks and they've started on my grape vines now. One of my trees is so bare it looks like fall. I have no good advice, but I sympathize!

That sucks Nichole. So sorry your dealing with that. Have they just arrived as a new invasive in the U.S.? I'm in Oregon, never heard of them.
