I dont iunderstand why the 14 year old cant hold his sister, half sister but still a sister? Yall will be right there when he does! Whats the deal? The boy is more closely related than the SIL! NTA because new borns are still squishy. Have them sit on a couch and watch them carefully. But I see your point if your son couldn't hold it so the sister should get the same treatment

I let my 5 year old hold her baby brother. 14 is not too young. Have him sit on the couch if you have concerns. How weird.
