I never had any bugs for over a yr & half UNTIL I pulled 7 Spinach plants from my outdoor RGBs(Raised Garden Beds) washed the roots really good & placed them in my AG sponges & baskets to see if I could continue growing them indoors... I Started seeing Aphids for the very 1st time! ๐ฒ
I also brought in some potted plants & sat them on the same shelving unit as my AGs. WHAT A MISTAKE!!
Now if I catch them in time I take it to the sink, remove the plant if that is still possible & spray with Hydrogen Peroxide especially down in the new bloom area where baby leaves are beginning to develop... then rinse really well! I do not let it stand for many seconds on the plant bc it can burn the plant. So now I've had bugs ever since...I still have to treat the same plant from time to time, maybe 3 wks later.... But I do love having my own lettuceS, tomatoes, cucumbers, swiss chard, bell peppers, dino kale, dill, & basil.
I think I'll be using only Organic seeds from now on. I do keep my own Bell pepper seeds from when I have to buy a bell pepper at Walmart. I found out the bell peppers at Aldi are GMO, even the cute Sweeties peppers! They will NOT germinate at all!!๐ฎ
