I dont think it has 'undone' but has certainly triggered some change in direction. However it remains to be seen how serious they are to change. Change is scary and requires courage and honesty which some arab countries and even iran have not shown to have.

Partially true. We can't down play the genuine Sunni- Shia divide is the region. Iraq war made it 50% worse but shit was bubbling below the surface in Syria, Lebenon, Yemen and Saudi for a while also
