My brother dates a lot of these trophy girls, and I think the biggest difference between them and a "trad" girl is attitude. Ttophy girls are the kind of girl who won't interact with you or the kids at say, a water park because their primary goal is getting a tan to look good. They don't want to be seen in public with smudged makeup and messy hair, and they are often willing to remove themselves from the experience in order to maintain their outward aesthetic. They might have a job and their own money, but they also have no problem relying on a man's income to maintain their incredibly expensive lifestyle that requires frequent trips to the mall and salons. Many of them do have children and raise them themselves without a nanny (especially if they are lower income), but their focus with the family often centers around keeping up appearances, and they plan activities and experiences around that aspect rather than on more "traditional" activities (though there is some overlap). Not all "trophy" girls are like this. There are some legitimately down to earth ones, but it's been my observation in the girls that my brother dates that their priorities are often on outward appearances and aesthetics rather than on doing certain tasks and activities that exemplify the "trad" lifestyle.
