I remember when Pettit's results were published. I was like you are kidding me. In all the years people have been theorizing how the earth and the other planets were formed, you never considered that static electricity might have been an important factor in the very beginning. I as a layperson with extensive knowledge of astronomy had wondered for a long time why astrophysicists were having such a problem with coming up with a theory of the earth's formation. Apparently it was merely the lack of a method to get the ball rolling in the very beginning. You would think that static electricity would have been an obvious factor. The dust that came together was very dry. Scientists know that very dry dust will often pick up a static charge when in motion. People report hearing static buildup in desert when the wind blows it around. Volcanoes produce lightning for the same reason. Something moves the dust around and causes a separation of charges. And it took a little experiment in space to solve the problem. 🤯

You would think that that would be impossible because they actually switched places. I think it was sadder than another plan. I can't remember which plan it was, but why didn't it disintegrate, it's your gravity. Don't you think passing by each other? Would bust them both up. I don't understand how I did it.
