When the gods of Olympus declare an end to Superman's rule on Earth, they send an Amazon army and Batman's team to deliver the decree. Wonder Woman challenges Superman to one-on-one combat, but Batman steps in, ordering her to fight on behalf of the gods. Torn but bound by her oath, Diana engages in a fierce duel with Superman, clashing with relentless power. Despite Superman’s pleas for surrender, Wonder Woman fights on, breaking his leg and arm, even damaging his eyes. As they each unleash their might, Diana nearly lands the final blow—until Sinestro intervenes, shooting her in the back.
