Light VS Heavy Weight (Which Is Best for Muscle Growth)

open dyslexic mode

When lifting light weights until exhaustion, the body predominantly engages fast-twitch muscle fibers, resulting in heightened metabolic stress and improved muscular endurance. Conversely, lifting heavy weights primarily activates slow-twitch muscle fibers, generating greater mechanical tension and muscle fiber breakdown. The body undergoes repair and reconstruction of these fibers, culminating in enhanced muscle size and strength. Varied muscle fiber recruitment yields distinct adaptations: light weightlifting enhances explosive power and speed, whereas heavy weightlifting promotes muscle hypertrophy and strength gains. #shorts #3danimation #workout #muscle

Also this is wrong. Fast twitch fibers are for explosive powerful movement and slow twitch is for endurance...

I hate to disagree but...Heavy weights for short reps induce strength gain primarily through brain to nueron connection. Where as lightsr weights for longer duration (time under tention) induces hypertrophy throgh muscle damdge and repair. Sure youll get big doing either but all of the latest science suggests anything up to 30 reps in a set will make you both stronger and build muscle but the old school 'lift big to get big" isnt necessarily true. Everyones different, find what works for you. As long as you go to failure or near failure and are under 30 reps in a set. You'll grow.

I think you are wrong, according to encyclopedia of muscle and strength by dr.jim stoppani repetitions under 6 lead to muscle strength, 6 to roughly 20 lead to muscle hypertrophy and more than 20 lead to muscle endurance and hypertrophy, furthermore slow twitch fibers are responsible for light and long workout and you said it conversely.

This video is completely backwards, do not take this as fact and do some research.

let’s see the geniuses in comment section saying “hypertrophic training is not strength training” without showing any proper scientifically proven claims against this video
