Ya i delivered my first scary uber order on a late night from a liquor store. The manager was so nice. I got one item. Had to drive over the bridge and soon as i got there i was relieved it was a responsible teenager so nice to me. And helped me out on how to get his Id scanned. I think he worked for uber as well.

As a liquor store owner, we understand that it’s incredibly annoying to the customer to constantly have to show your ID but the penalties are so stiff on our end. If we do make a mistake sometimes I agree we should be able to recognize the customer especially if they come in often but that’s how mistakes are made. An example would be say I know a particular person as being of age so I don’t ask for the ID a coworker who sees that person at a later time shouldn’t assume that person is 21 they may use them as being somebody else and not check their ID, and next thing, you know, the employee and the business are being cited, the penalties range from steep financial fines to having your ability to sell liquor revoked, which would mean essentially we’re left owning a business that cannot sell alcohol or turn enough of a profit to even warrant staying open. Furthermore, you can’t sell a business like that either so you lose your livelihood that’s why we check IDsso consistently

As a cashier imma be honest if you look under age… And yeah I’ve carded some 45 years old. But hey be glad you look young af though. Lol when you get 75 someone will think your 45. But also the main one for me. I got mouths too feed. Those tickets they give the owner/store and you personally. Yeah I can’t afford it. About 2 years ago they came into our store and a kid like who tf was gonna believe this kid. We carded and soon as we saw ID we laughed and said baby boy you got some years. Kid was 17!! Soon as he walked out the big buff guy behind him said great job you passed. We said huh he laughed and walked out. Anyway he walked back in and had his badge on and said yeah I’m with TPD (Tulsa Police Department). And handed us a certificate. Scared was a freaking understatement. But I’m glad we do ID.

as a former crippling alcoholic, I walked through a snow storm 3 miles to get to the liquor store to stop the DTs. the cashier said I looked like a snowman, it was soooo bad. perhaps this guy couldn't make it because he was so deep into withdrawal. Gatorade was my miracle cure for when my body started giving up. or at least it felt like it. but by the end my body started rejecting even that. hope he's okay...

Nah. The clerk saw they camera and didn't want to run the risk you were trying to get evidence with the camera.
