I personally find it fascinating how furries have somehow standardized their style into a recognizable formula with repeatable steps to produce a “furry fandom result”. The last time I saw this happen was with anime. While there are exceptions that break the mold, both anime and furry artists have formulas with repeatable steps and unified styles.
Furries overwhelmingly copy Disney, and asking them to bypass canine features in their characters is like asking a fish to stop swallowing water.
I wouldn’t say they’re the best at anthropomorphizing characters, just that they’ve all agreed on a way they like to do it.

I honestly thought the Furry version here had more of Mystery Dungeon vibe to i-
. . .
Oooooooh.
Ya can't see it on here but I'm making the same face in jest. What can I say, ever since Gen 1 with designs like Machoke and Machamp, they know who they're appealin to.
It's honestly a bit of a shock that seeming so many even within the Pokémon Community haven't somehow (pardon the pun) caught on to the Mystery Dungeon Series.
Admit it, Furries. That would explain why and how the story of the one set of games in particular was so emotional. We're pretty good at bein sensitive to that kinda stuff and making new people sensitive to that kinda stuff. I mean why do ya think we're such fans of Beastars? Um helloooo? Coming of age story involving literal Drama Theatre Nerds and even Jocks and the Cool Kids? I mean I'm not saying that this was made for us but deer god does it ever bring more of us into this Fandom am I right? 👈🐶

The funny thing about whenever I see memes about being able to tell if an artist is a furry based on how they draw animals is that I draw like that. Not because I’m a furry, but because I began drawing with My Little Pony as a kid. This means that I tend to give animals human eyes, hair, and mannerisms.
