Like ten years ago I went for a list on an old small cabin cruiser, the interior was shit and it needed a new bilge pump. He had no price on the listing, so i went back and forth with the guy and he kept saying I was low balling him. Eventually we settled on a price. I went to the bank to get the cash out and when I came back someone was hooking the boat up. I wasn't mad that he sold it when I went to get the money, I was mad because he sold it to the guy for like $500 less than we settled on. Dude was an assbag

What's even better is when you're selling something with a listed price and people open with, "what's the lowest you'll take?" Like, I've got the price listed, if you want to make a lower bid, by all means, go for it. But don't ask the seller to make that lower offer for you. Learn how to haggle.

Had a guy do that to me last year. It was about a 4 wheeler. I just looked it over and said 20 bucks and a case of Bud Light. He was not amused, and I told him you literally just told me to give you a price. He very unpolitely told me to get out of his yard. I said FINE! 20 bucks and a case of coors. Poor communication is one of the best ways to spot poor buyers/sellers. Sometimes you find a great deal and the person's awesome. More often than not, though, that poor communication (or none at all) is a solid indication of what you're in for if you want to carry on with the transaction.
