We love spears so much that when we invented the rifle, we immediately turned it into a spear by adding the bayonet.

Spears were so good, we put them on bows

Straight foward, always on point, and if it breaks you get two. Mankind's thrustiest friend.

The spear is remarkable in many ways it was remarkably cheap to manufacture both in terms of cost, man-hours, and materials. It requires little time to train somebody to use one, and they're exceedingly effective. What more could one ask or want in a weapon

A short about something very long — how novel.

I love the fact that the deadliest weapon humans came up with ever is just a very long wooden stick

I was messing around with a spear in Blade and Sorcery recently and really felt why it was such a dominant weapon through history, without any training (or very little) someone can become quite deadly with a spear just due to their reach alone

The spear is also the weapon of heroes in many myths. Let's not forget that St. Michael, St.George and St.Maurice are often depicted wielding spears. And IMO the spear is the perfect choice for a hero that wants to slay a beast or monster.

Who doesn't love a big pointy stick?

Looks remarkably like a big pencil if you chop the very top bit off

I realize it's not an ideal solo weapon, but the more friends you have (with their own, of course), the better it gets.

God I love spears.

A pointy stick will always be useful

The fact that we keep talking about them, they keep showing up all throughout history and that we ALWAYS find a way to keep bringing them back shows how good of a weapon the spear was.

Ah the pointy stick. The design that's worked since before humans even began, and even other animals use pointy sticks now.

NEVER underestimate the power of the pointy stick. Even modern firearms fire tiny chemical propelled pointy sticks.

Always keep a dagger on you. It's like a shorter pointy stick, incase someone gets past your longer pointy stick and you don't have enough friends with long pointy sticks behind you.

Spears are a part of what we are.
Whenever I go camping I feel an urge to build a fire, and then make some pokies.
People ask “what’re all those sharp sticks for?”
And I’ll say “they’re just good to have around.”

Always thought your older [and shorter] videos were a lot better - and I’ve been subscribed for about 3 years ...
I’m glad you’re getting more popularity now you’re keeping things short and sweet!
I hope you keep it up!
