हमारे नार्थ पोल और साउथ पोल पर रोज़े और सलात की समस्या का उत्तर संतुष्टि से मिल गया के .रमज़ान में रोज़ा दिन और रात के अंतर पर निर्भर करता है। जिस जगह पर 6 महीने दिन और 6 महीने निरंतर रात होती है वहां रोजा नहीं रखा जा सकता बल्कि उसके बदले में किसी इंसान को खाना खिलाने का फिदया किया जाना चाहिए। यह एक ऐसी स्थिति है जहां एक व्यक्ति घिर जाता है और जब वह उससे बाहर आता है तो वह या तो उपवास रख सकता है या किसी व्यक्ति को खाना खिला सकता है, जबकि उपवास करना बेहतर है।

The house of Allah existed in all times for guidance of mankind. Ibrahim (pbuh) was pointed out the place of house by Allah since people were already establishing Salah and going around Kabah.

Allah has specifically stated fasting timings at the twilight times, that is, the period of time before sunrise and after sunset, in which the atmosphere is partially illuminated by the sun, being neither totally dark or completely lit.
There are places on earth which do not satisfy this condition, that is, either have six months night and/or daylights, where one cannot differentiate between day and night.
People when encircled in these conditions are exempt from fasting and in compensation can provide feed to one person. Once returned to normal conditions where one can differentiate night & day, a person has a choice either to feed another person or too fast. However, Allah mentions that too fast is in betterment for oneself.
I believe and practice fasting as explained by Allah in Al-Kitab and further understands that Salah/Prayer is calculated from Solar (Sun) movements whereas Months and Fasting is from Lunar (Moon) calculations.

In Ramadan, you start or break your fast with timing. It has to be the difference of day and night means ( White thread of dawn appears from black thread). If you are encircled in an environment where 6 months of days and 6 months night. You can not have the fasting. When you come out from that environment, then you have two options either you can give fidiya or complete the fasting.

Fasting in Ramadan is dependent on the difference of day & night (white thread of dawn appears from black thread), also on the moon. In a place where there's 6 months of day & night, fasting can't be done but fidyaa of feeding a person should be done instead. This is a situation where a person gets encircled & when one comes out of it can either fast or feed a person while if fast that's better.
Salah still can be performed in these types of places as it depends on the movement of the Sun (Solar System).
Fasting needs to be done with the difference between night & day (twilight time) while Salah is relative to movement of the Sun. I have understood & believed in the difference in practice of fasting & Salah.

The timings of prayers are followed through the sun but the timings of fast are followed with the difference between day and night. So, if you are in such an environment where there are 6 months night and 6 months daylight, then do not fast and give fidya but once you are out of this situation, you can either feed a needy person or fast.
