Elon musk and his company tesla are desperately trying to enter the indian electric car market , however indian government is adamant that if Tesla wants to import completely built cars it will attract 100% import duty or they can set up manufacturing in India. Tesla is asking for Special Exemption on import duty however in India where TATA, MG ZS EV , Hyundai , Mercedes all are selling Electric cars EV s without issue . Tesla is still trying to enter the indian Market
