How to tell if a crystal is polished 💎✨
 60 FPS video

We get many comments that the crystals we find are cut and polished so we wanted to clear up any confusion about raw vs. polished crystals. A raw, unpolished crystal will always have some type of surface texture and/or other various features on the surface. Polished crystals of any type will generally be smooth to the eye and to the touch like glass and lack surface features. Sometimes only part of the crystal is polished, so you have to look closely and check every face or side to be sure! We use Quartz as an example in this video but this can apply to most other crystals too. We hope this helps and please let us know if you have any questions or want to learn more. 🫶

People really forget that the whole thing about crystals is that most of them naturally form in geometric 'crystal' shapes

It’s literally a crystal. That’s how crystallization works.

I love it when random people who don't have ANY knowledge about the subject say that professionals are wrong. Some people just hate because they have nothing else to do with their lives

It’s truly marvelous that crystals naturally turn into the shape of a crystal

I love that people online who know nothing about a field constantly correct professionals in that field.

Someone needs to tell them crystals form that shape naturally. That’s why the shape is named after these beauties.

As someone obsessed with chemistry and geology, people are ALWAYS going after the wrong people, they never notice when people actually stage crystals and always call nature's beauty a fake

Not to mention Quartz is one of those gemstones/minerals that forms likes its cut already, and can still be clear while underground. And if she found it above land, it can still happen as things can break the rock of that area of surface over time, leaving gemstones to be found as they were previously inside.

My aunt is an archeologist I am a geologist and we both approve we find crystals like these all the time it is 100% true they do come out beautiful like this because that’s what nature does

She's so nice, she didn't even bring up the "Comes out of the ground cut" part. Like, do you even know wtf a crystal is? That's their basic shape. That's what the word crystal means. That's the literal difference between a crystal and a rock my child.

Just for thosr who doesn’t understand. We call crystal shaped stuff “crystal shaped” because that’s how crystals look naturally.
