All different, same patterns. It took me years to acknowledge my long term partner was actually like my dad. My dad's rage was so loud and frightening. My partner was so quiet yet extremely passive aggressive. Same anger from the same core place - different ways of showing it. Both were excessively immature. Both justified and blamed their anger on other people.

Wow that is one great summary of life with a narcissist! conformity over harmonizing and obsessing over minutia are scary and tough to live with. I had hours of silent treatment today for something super trivial AND I was told life was so much better when I was away visiting my sick mother. They are monsters.

I had a beautiful little narcissist. Text book case. Profoundly emotionally immature, a deep schizoid core and with an apex predators skill could slide in next to your heart in the blink of an eye,
And when the nonsense started, the push pull, the grandiosity, the devaluing comments, the bad tempers ect ect. It didn’t bother me. I’m 110kg ex military. It was like dealing with a naughty child to me.
I used to say, I love you very much, but you’re way too old to be acting like a toddler.
It actually really hit home. As far as can be expected.
They are all different. Same script. Different actors and actresses.
Identify them and keep a large emotional gap in place.
Remove them from your life if that is possible.
