A sock is already a swatch in the round.

Thank you, hon. I did find a pattern for the 2 colour pattern. It is for a beanie/skull cap. I have done a swatch over 3 repeats of the pattern. (It is 8(?) reps all the way around.) I am happy I did this because rather than just knitting in the round, I am going back and forth; therefore, I am knitting the pattern in knit then pearl. Great practice!! I have made several mistakes, so I will be doing it again soon - before making the cap.

I still struggle to waste yarn on a sock. I am such a “wing it” gal and am happy to risk needing to frog it
