This is the truth. If you think it’s satire, then you don’t know the company you work for.

"Workplace loyalty" is one of the biggest scams since insurance.

Companies get a 2 week notice, but they give you a 2 minute notice.

I was at a chemical plant. Maintenance lead man was there 47 years, knew all the preventative maintenance procedures and could fix or fabricate anything. All the sudden they hired some 22 year old and let him go. After 1 week of some machines not achieving 95 percent efficiency or better they called Mike to come back. He wanted his due raise, they said no. After another week of missing target delivery he agreed to come back as an outside consultant at $125 a hour.

Not having company loyalty made me get promotions and good raises every few years.

That’s why I don’t mind calling off when I’m sick or taking a mental health day when I feel like it.

I used to work in a warehouse until the company laid everyone off on employee appreciation day because they were going to automate the facility. I'll tell you right now that those 20+ year associates were the most pissed.

Always remember you’re disposable. Treat them accordingly

Remember that if businesses could use disposable slave laborers again, they would go right back to it

My grandpa worked for the same company for 45 years, since he was 16. He got pinched between two trucks by the bosses son pulling a concrete pup and they didn’t even pay his medical until he took them to court

You forgot to mention the part where the new guy is cheaper and you know they're all about saving money. Most companies are too short-sided on profits they don't realize that inexperience employees equals more accidents and injuries which cost them more no longer

Unironicly happened to my boss. Retail, but he had worked in the company for 32 years, started as a bagger for groceries, then as a cashier, then got into the hard stuff of unloading trucks, stocking shelves, stacking pallets. Worked his way up through administration till he was a store director. CFO and CEO did their quarterly walk of the store and dropped the bomb of he was written up for leaving work early and they had photo evidence. He had left 10 minutes early because he had clocked in early to get stuff done. They basically told him he was on thin ice and easily replaceable. He stayed for 2 weeks only because he wanted to keep his record clean and help his friends at work which were genuinely friends that he golfed with, went to eachother’s weddings, and raised their kids together. He got tf out of there and got a job as bank manager.

I got hired on at a well known company paying $18 hr and within a month the whole company redid their pay scales. I was promoted to $22 hr and some of them guys that had been there over 15 years was told their job was now classified at a lower level and they had one year to get moved into a higher classified level position or take a pay cut. YOU TALK ABOUT MAD!!! Dudes was ripping their uniforms off right there infront of everybody. Hahaha 😂
I left 9 months later to take another job paying $28 hr. I see people complaining about their jobs. You gotta find a way to work the system to your advantage. Gotta do what you gotta do

The job I work at now tried the “We’re family” thing. Right after we got done with our 10 hour shift of loading pallets of wine right before Thanksgiving Break (it was peak). Boss was on the floor “helping” and when we got done, had the audacity to hit us with the “👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 That’s what I’m talking about! What a great work family!” Me, dripping with sweat, cuts on my arm from putting boxes on conveyor belts at 100% for 4 hours straight hit him with the, “No. This isn’t my home away fro
