I love David Goggins. Does he go to extremes? Yes, of course. That doesn't mean you have to follow his example strictly. Through life experience, he's a better psychologist then psychologists. He's a more interesting and practical philosopher than philosophers.
One other thing. In one of Dr. Andrew Huberman's interviews, he explains that somewhere between five and ten percent of the population get a dopamine rush from extreme exertion in exercise. They don't dread going to the gym or dread running, they love every minute of it.
All the negative comments I see on his videos, like this one, make it clear that most people really do not like to exercise.

For those who can’t wrap their head around stretching 3 hours daily. First off, health and fitness is practically David’s career now. He has retired from being a SEAL. Even though sometimes he fights forest fires and does public speaking gigs he has a lot more free time on his hands now. And the reason people buy the books and pay to hear him speak is because of his story and his physical and mental toughness. So let’s say hypothetically he does cardio for 3 hours, lifts for 2 hours, then stretches for 3 hours. That’s an 8 hour work day. Working a 9-5 is also an 8 hour work day. Is sitting in front of a computer all day natural or healthy? No but people do it to make a living. To my understanding David doesn’t have children. I’m not sure if he is still with his fiancée or if they’re now married or whatever. He doesn’t spend time scrolling on social media or playing video games. He’ll post what he needs to post on his social media and then he ignores it.
Point is that it’s definitely possible and likely that he actually does everything he says he does. Moreover it’s possible that this is a genuinely fulfilling lifestyle for him and a minority of people. I’m one of those people. When I’m on vacation I look forward to it because now I have time to workout 2 or 3 times per day. And I’m happier the more I workout to an extent. Not everyone is like that and that’s okay. Whatever makes you happy.

He's an animal. Beyond human reach, it's really bone shattering. Respect to him. No hate, only respect and pride
