there were lots of bands putting out music as extreme ( or more) than this in the late 80’s. swans, rapeman, no means no, steel pole bathtub, sonic youth, victims family, fugazi, neurosis, the ex, dog faced hermans, and many more from the 70’s and earlier 80s
