If you are on a budget, trash cans make great pots. Have to add drainage holes yourself, which is easier with the plastic kind, but can get a masonry bit to drill through ceramic, etc.

I use bathroom trash cans a lot for bigger plants. They are often really cute, too!

90 dollars for a pot and the mix is expensive? Like why? The mix keeps water from collecting on the leaves and helping them brown? Didn't understand that part either.
