I can collect. No Problem. I assign it to the IRS to collect, or just cancel the debt with a 1099-C where they will need to pay taxes on it and you will get the write-off. Clint, what's your deal here?

Just because the lease said the Landlord is entitled to compensation doesn't mean the tenant is.
