As a Brit, it is astonishing just how similar Multicultural Toronto English is to Multicultural London English - what you're saying about "mans" also applies in pretty much the exact same way in MLE, which has also made its way into rap lyrics (e.g. “man try say he’s better than me, tell my man shut up”).
Does MTE also have "mandem" and "gyaldem"? Those are very much words Londoners use to refer to groups of people
