The thing is, with stuff like this, people will often blame the person who made the exploit known, but in reality it's likely that it's been getting used quietly by many people the whole time already.
Whether it's a YouTube algorithm or a game exploit, cheat or hack, etc.
But drawing attention to it FORCES the developers to fix the issue, actually improving things for everyone else that hasn't been abusing the exploit.
So, if anything, thank Spiff for dragging the ugliness out into the light of day and helping to make YT a more fair platform for content creators.
