If being queer and coming out as such was something only part of a very rich person's life , I don't think the Left would have being an ally to them on their agenda. Which would makes sense for multiple reasons, and this would be one of them.

It could maybe also be viewed as a "closing the door behind you" situation, but I think her economic status means she doesn't have much need for that acceptance for herself and therefore doesn't value it for others (a.k.a., classic conservative).

I think for people in America they have a primary allegiance of race rather than class. Regardless of social positioning, race drives much of US worldview and what the culture values.

There's also the fact that she's in a privileged enough position that it doesn't matter to her if other trans people are affected by something or not. Her class allows her to ignore most of that either way.
