Alaskan here, we have months of complete darkness, and on the other end, months with no night! Many homes have giant custom blinds for those times

I'm from Norway, and when I lived in southern norway, it wouldn't really get dark in the summer, it would be night, but as soon as the dark blue faded away, it came back.
Now I live in northern Norway, and if you're at the right places at the right time, you should be able to see the sun itself 24/7. During the darkest period aka winter, where I live the sun goes above the horizon from 10:30am to 11:30am, and the is bellow the horizon again, the sunlight lasts from 9:00am-1:00pm-ish.
