Enjoying the channel guys. Pro tip, especially if you have an awkwardly shaped foot well or space where the ballast needs to go, casting lead shot in cement is usually denser, allows you to maintain a lower center of gravity, and doesn’t take up as much space. You can make it modular as well, based on how you cast the shape, so that you can remove ballast for a heavier driver.
Also, sometimes it’s advantageous to do the opposite, i.e. detune the engine (rather than add weight). You can often take advantage of low end power and torque of the big motor while only sacrificing top end horsepower number. This arrangement is usually best for tighter, twistier tracks.
On the flipside, adding ballast and maintaining full power delivery is good for faster tracks.

Might be better to restrict the power rather then to weigh it down, that car will feel like an SUV in the track with all that weight… lighter car will feel better and be more agile, also there’s no way you’ll distribute that weight good enough to keep the car balance while under load. Just my take tho I’m not a professional 😅🤝
