I always nail the end stud in 1/2 and make sure the bow goes to the inside. walls go together a lot easier

Never had a requirement for such a tool. Means the technique is wrong somewhere. We nail tops and bottoms together first. Nails centres while straighten with straight edge

You put 7 nails in that connecting top plate in the corner when you do that you split the plate making it not 5 1/2 any more 3 nails no more no need for that many nails
