One time my phone was dead and I ran out of gas in my car. I was on the freeway!!!! Cops saved my a** that night. Let me borrow his phone and told me after my mom was on her way to wait in my car and he would wait in his until she got there! Seriously I will never forget how kind, considerate, and helpful that man was!!!

It's the job of a police officer to find out why a car is stopped on the side of the road. He's not psychic. Could be someone needs help. Could be a fugitive. Could be broken down. Could be a stolen vehicle. Could be someone in need of medical attention or dead.I wouldn't be upset about being asked. I'd be glad he checked.

My car was stuck in deep snow at Perisher nsw Australia, a ranger came by and instead of helping us out he wrote a parking ticket and left… great huh?!
Finally extracted the car and only a mile down the road saw the rangers truck lying on its side in a ditch, we stopped to take him into the next town.
Parking fine was waived.
