I have seen some Muslim and nonreligious videos of tours in the Dome of the Rock and they show that there's a small cave under the rock. In the videos, it looks like they enter the building, go a short way around to the right, then go sharply left, and there's a few steps down into a little underground area directly under the rock. Usually there are a bunch of Muslims down there on prayer rugs in the videos. Isn't that strange?! Who dug that area out, or was it naturally there all along? I never heard of a cave under the Temple, certainly not under the Holy of Holies. I wonder why it's there.
