Ferryman and Wraith are the people who revive the player, Technically the Ferryman but Wraith is who leads the souls to the ferryman.

Cursed Captain is also cursed based off his name, also im pretty sure (haven't played the PL tall tales in awhile) but im 50% sure he helps you during one, so he is not a villain.

The wraith literally showed up in a trailer, and he just helps the ferryman basically as far as we know. The ferryman just returns pirates to the land of the living, Briggsy was just an average pirate before she got cursed, then tried to find the cure until we killed her, and the Cursed captain as far as we know has no actual lore relevance to the in game world.
