Thanks Richard. 60m is my favorite band for close by contacts when doing SOTA. I use my electrically short EFHW that is 20m long. It still amazes me, how well it works, as long as there are no other long lasting QSOs going on. Unfortunately, in central Europe, we basically can use only 3 phone channels.

VERY VERY important to check frequency! Nowadays it's probably truer to say that the majority of countries that have 60m have taken the ITU WRC15 defined band of 5351.5 to 5366.5 kHz and the major exceptions (because they had their frequencies before WRC15) are the US and the UK. The US has channels and the UK "bandlets". There is only a little overlap between the three systems, unfortunately. So check, CHECK, Check before hitting the PTT and if using USB don't forget to allow for your sideband to be up to 3 kHz above the frequency shown on the radio, so don't transmit at an upper band (or bandlet) edge.
My antenna of choice for 60m when portable - a linked dipole.
Ed.
