that is exaxtly what happend to me yesterday. I was seizurefree for a year and tapered down one of my meds under quidance of my neurologist. Yesterday was my first day without Keppra and I got a series of seizures. I was brought to the hospital and after a bolus of Keppra I came back to my senses and then this video came in. So everything makes sense now and i will never ever stop again. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!!!!!

Non-epileptic seizures does not require to take medication ?
My first neurologist gave me brevipil 50 mg which stopped my seizures but my latest neurologist suggested first let us see if it is non-epileptic seizures or epileptic seizures, please suggest me what to do ? Can i stop the medication if it is declared as non-epileptic seizures and how to stop the medication

At age 22 my son, who has treatment resistant major depression, began ECT. It was very helpful with his mood! However, in under two months he began having early symptoms of partial complex R temporal lobe seizures. Within 5 months he had his first gran mal seizure. Valproate didn’t work, but lacosamide with zonisamide stopped the seizures immediately. It’s been over a year without any hint of a seizure!
My question is does ECT contribute to bringing out seizures?
He stopped ECT after nearly 11 months, unfortunately he was no longer tolerating it.

Can you tell how to wean from divalporex er? Can I move to divalporex dm and how much dosage during weaning usually? I don’t see any information on dosage during weaning and how it should be done, looks like doctors don’t have this knowledge yet?
