In my opinion, the FDA's decision on MDMA will set psychedelic research back significantly. I am doubtful that we will see any psychedelics approved in the near future. I feel a bit pessimistic and disappointed in the field of psychiatry overall.

Glad to see you back, Dr. Rossi!... BTW just because there are setbacks, doesn't mean MDMA isn't effective, right?... It's approved in Australia now for MDMA-assisted Psychotherapy... BTW can you please make a video on Tianeptine? It's a TCA, but completely different and unique pharmacology, based on Glutamatergic transmission

Hey doc, stimulants like Addy or Elvanse can treat depression in an off label way? No antidepressants helped me like stimulants. Thanks for the attention.

I did not find this decision to be very surprising, even barring the SA allegations. There was a good paper written about "jumping the gun on MDMA" focusing mainly on the efficacy and data discrepancies.
