What passes of as our culture is actually a disrespect to its inherent value.
Our culture as Indians is not limited to cloths.
It's proximity to nature.
It is pluralism,
It is accepting feminine and masculine energy being part of whole.
It's acceptance of things which exists beyond human comprehension.
It is not a restricting culture . lack of understanding of its actual depth is the real issue here.
Constraining our culture to some attire does more harm than good.

That's the hypocrisy of us Indians. When someone will wear Saree with waist being seen, that's fine. But not when we wear something else.
Edit: Those who are talking about traditional Indian dress are not meant for body showing and all go back to our ancient Harappan civilisation. Women used to only cover their upper part with a cloth. Our mentality has degraded over the years for sure.
