This is a pretty glaring one. It's pretty broadly known, even at a high school level, that the "scribes" weren't just describing people who transcribe what others write, but in the gospels they're always mentioned, not pedantically by their strict definition, but colloquially as a Judean religious scholar class along with the Pharisees.

He has a lot right but he also gets a lot wrong. I like him and have found him to be helpful in his teachings many times. But when he has a blind spot, he has some really poor reasoning and logic skills behind his justifications for his arguments. Blessings Rod!

I really think part of the perceived authoritative expertise of Mike Winger is his incredible audio quality. He has a good voice, but the superior quality of sound on his videos really makes an incredible and subliminal presentation. Without it, I think he would have less of an impact. I really believe this observation I’ve made is true.

It comes down to taking someone's word for it, concerning what was said, whether it was written correctly, whether the translator was perfect in translating(impossible), whether someone decided this word better suited their narrative and so on. The thing is, when you're focusing on something like this you're missing the message Jesus was conveying. Incidental details. Whether the sermon on the mount was on this mount or that mount, isn't important. That he offered up his life to pay for our sins is the only thing that is important to understand, and creating controversy over a rather unimportant detail is how Satan distracts us from the truth. As has been said many times, "the devil is in the details." Focus on the message, not the stamp on the envelope, or you risk being an instrument of the enemy.

He must stop pointing finger at other preachers. He should focus on his own assignment

Thanks Rod, I enjoy your explanation of points of scripture, they are very helpful. I think that when we try to prove what we believe instead of believing what we prove, we get it wrong often.

Maybe because these particular scribes also happened 2b scholars. With all the bad doctrine that is being g taught, why are you so focused on splitting theological hairs over terms like scribes and parishes and scholars.
