I was very recently in a resort in Halkadi Greece. When I visited in 2022 there were loads of Russians there. This time (2024) there were much fewer, but it seems that the ones who are there are coming in by boat and staying on their luxury yachts rather than in the hotel. I know they ask for your passport in the hotels, but don't know if they do for the boats. The interesting thing to me is they all seem to be Italian flagged yachts. Does Italy have more lax restrictions on who can register their boats than other European countries? Out of five Italian flagged yachts that I spotted, I heard Russian being spoken by the passengers say on the decks of three of them, and Italian on two.

As the 400 stolen planes are depleted and Western airlines refuse to fly into Russia, the few nations who still choose to trade with Russia are having to decide where does their long-term economic benefits lie. Considering how little Russia has to offer and these risks, even China, Trukey, Georgia, and India are edging away from Russia. In the near future, civilians will be dependent on trains for long-distance travel within Russia.

I believe that the more Russia’s economy is impacted by sanctions, the less other countries will be motivated to conduct business with them.
