I've played a lot of systems. There are some i won't go back to because I didnt like them. Its just how it is sometimes. Move on and have some fun.

I feel this. Me and my friends went through a ton of systems. Doing one shots and such trying them out. And homebrewing a fair share on secondary tests to see if we wanted to modify them. And eventually we found the Lancer system and its mechs. And have been playing with that ever since. (And yes. By now we have added our fair share of homebrew, but for people who dislike homwbrew for "changing" a system too much, we havent changed any of the core rules. Just added some stuff. Including kaiju battles, and yes you can fistfight godzilla now, and a lot of new mechs)

Right? Don't yuck others yums. Ryan and Perram from Know Direction pivoted away due to Pathfinder 2e, but the network found others with that passion, and they went on to do other things the like, literally 0 losses in the end, all wins.

Eh, I disagree. I really dislike 5th Edition DnD, from the bad practices on Hasbro's Side, rampant power creep and horrid power gap between player races and classes, it just makes sad. I want the game to be better, so I speak out against it.
Pathfinder 2e has filled the niche very well for now, but I know it has it's problem (rip Oracle and Inventor), and I also like to talk about those. It can be that deep, depending on the conversation you want to have, and I think saying it isn't misses the point of the complaints.

What I never understand is when people will rather homebrew a game system into oblivion, until it no longer resembles the original game, but never even consider that the game system is not right for them and that there might be something better for their table out there.
