I've been doing this for years, but hadn't thought of cutting the cards up into cute shapes! I've always just used the full front page of the card, but love your idea and will definitely try it this year!! 🎄♥️🎄♥

I like this idea for cards that I get from people at work, but for cards from my grandmother or mother, I'm glad I saved those over the years instead of destroyed them, they makes me feel good seeing their handwriting and to know they held that while they were passing on a sort of "love note" to me.

My great aunt always did this! We always knew who the gift was from because of it. It’s actually such a special memory, thanks for this & now I want to start doing it this year!

I've done this for at least 50 years!! But I use different types of scissors, like pinkin sheers, to give the tag a cut edge, then I get a hole puncher, punch a hole and slip a ribbon through it, now you have a deluxe gift tag!! I use the cards that I saved from the year before!

If there’s writing on the back of what you wanna cut out, you can glue some blank paper over it!

Omg you could also totally make new ornaments for a tree out of this! Just put them on a hard cardboard and make a hole in the top. Love your idea, so inspiring!
