Pups are just like kiddos! So beautiful to see! I lost my best friend of 16 years 2 days ago, a american pitt. Was so gental and happy.
But i got him a younger pup to play with a few years ago. And when rocky got cancer and going thru treatment. Yiu ciuld see he was teaching zip, hoow to take care of me and be there. Rocky was 82 pounds. And every night he would walk up on the bed, push covers back with his nose. Till i threw them over him, the. He lay his head on my chest. I have (heart failure) found out 5 years ago. At rockys last few months he nudged zip to lay with me and he layed at the end of the bed. He woulsnt play he would bark till zip played. It was sad but its amazing how they take care you a person. God i miss him

It looks happy and good companions together. There is a very big downside that people don't take into consideration, most seniors cannot walk a dog, especially a extra large one, they pull to hard. The elderly cannot walk dogs several times a day for Giving the dog exercise. The seniors have a hard time picking up dog poop. SENIORS don't have the energy to play and give the attention that is needed for the dog. It's hard to take the dog to the veterans and afford the pet care. In order for this to work, the senior would have to have extra help with walking, taking the dog to appointments and cleaning up the backyard of poop. Dog are great for visiting, but very demanding for everyday care.
