I have done a TON of therapy and healing work over the past 20 years. There has been lots of growth but I’m tired. Recently I’ve started IFS therapy and it’s giving me some hope! CPTSD is a difficult hole to crawl out of but it’s not impossible with sheer will, knowledge and support. Thanks for talking about this.

I am in a women's trauma therapy group and and at the beginning of each session, the therapist has all of us check in. The check in questions are basically checking in to see how are week went, what is our distress level is (on a scale of 1-10) , how are we feeling, and where are we carrying that emotion. Most of the time i am feeling overwhelmed or numb. Where i end up carrying my overwhelm is my intestines, i feel a lot of distress in my Crohn's as well as in my head with my PTSD night terrors. They just started me on prazosin for my night terrors. Hoping it helps. I also am using some breathing exercises on the Calm app that is free with my Galaxy watch app. The struggle is real though. You are not alone, you have people who love you and who care about you.
