This is good advice from a boxing Pov. But there is a reason why israel adesanya wasn't able to find the check hook, the threat of the takedown. If he focuses on the check hook he would need lift his hands and square his stance more. Leaving him more open to the takedown. This is why Dricus was able to blitz, because he is simultaneously feinting a takedown keep israel's hands low.

I've trained karate for 8 years and this is very comon in karate,this can works for set up kick and feints because the presure is very hard if your oponent not defend in a correct way,the check hook is very efective for that reason head movent or block your face with the shoulder if you're gonna do it is very important ,also is not good spam it,it work specialty against opponents that only goes backward and doesn't circle

Teap kick or front thrust kick or side kick is a good defense. Or a takedown or going for the clinch would work. boxing is a different story. A good wrestler could easily use this as the perfect setup for a blast double. It is a very good technique for closing distance or putting them on the retreat, but it leaves you wide open to counters and takedowns.

Okay, so if you throw punches in blitz from your forehad not from your chest level- you are nearly invincible. The only way to counter that is check hook to the body.
