This was one of my favorite games on the Apple II. At first glance, it bore a superficial resemblance to Choplifter but it turned out to be a very deep action game with real time strategy elements.
You had to manage field position as you took control of territory, always trying to be careful that you didn't overextend and leave your convoys unprotected by sufficient tanks and anti aircraft vehicles. Then you had to mix in infantry to take over bunkers and engineers to rebuild anti aircraft or anti tank artillery.

I spent hours palying this game as a kid on my Apple II. I remember how i loved wtaching the slow defeat of the ennemy when all the my guys and equipment were progressing to the point when there was no turning back possible. That was an awesome game !

I agree, one of the best Apple 2 games! (I never finished it, but I was 8 or 9 the last time I played it. I'll have to try it again!)

I still remember the day as a kid I figured out how to play this game properly. Mind blown. Immediately my favorite Apple II game.
