As a young boy, I felt God the Holy Spirit calling me to faith and repentance after the preaching of the gospel during a revival service in a country Baptist church. In fear, I neglected to go forward that night, but prayed fervently all that night and following day telling the Lord that if heโd just keep me alive until the next night that I would go forward and get saved. ๐

If you want to worship at the Altar of the Lord come to the Catholic Church where we worship this way at every Mass.

There is no need to go down the aisle if you're already predestined to be saved. You could be in the middle of sinning, and the irresistible grace gets you out of nowhere - some calvinist ๐

Grew up in the SBC of the 90s where we would always have alter calls as well as gone to State Youth Conferences and Promise Keepers with the same things. The whole culture was basically, "invite your friend to church and let the pastor be the one to tell the gospel." My ecclesiology has changed a lot after really reading the scripture. Now I know that the modern alter call is basic manipulation and that the church is mainly for those who are already saved.
