These parts always killed me playing guitar hero.

Hate these videos. Instead of trying to memorize some random sweep patterns of someone else and fail to actually sweep pick, practise:
- proper pick hand motion and pick angel.
- Individual frethand finger action.
- Economic picking and string skipping (these are not mandatory but both helps alot)
Then utilize what you have just practised and find comfortable patterns from scale you prefer playing and start to practise sweep picking it self.
During practise session start slow and always progressively increase your speed right to the point where you start to make mistakes and stick there.
Repeate every day.
