That's absolutely awesome, Chris. I had a feeling it may have only been temporary blindness. Head trauma and swelling/inflammation can obviously lead to that and be hard to tell the extent of the damage just by looking at it. But the body, regardless of species, has the ability to heal itself in ways most people unfortunately can't imagine.. if you give it a chance. Love everything you're doing there for those animals. You did pick the perfect spot to start a sanctuary. And I'm not just talking about its beauty, you can literally feel the healing properties of that location, even just by watching it states away thru a TV screen. So yes, I know I'm probably sounding like some woo-woo kachoo atm, but believe me over time you might see a whole lot more miraculous things happening there both big and small. Love the vlogs, btw. Been watching from the beginning and on/off before that for a few yrs. I'm a big animal lover as well. My favs are the alligators & Akila and also Asami (sp?) & Jet, esp when Clover's in there with him. I remember you saying it's insanely expensive to try & get another one, but Jet does look pretty lonely. Just curious - is there some kind of alternative to consider as far as getting him a friend? I think his spirits would be lifted incredibly if it's possible. Much respect to you & Gabby. Thanks for all you're doing there!
