This is one of my more clear rock songs and it opens up for my passion for live music.
It Burns is very personal to me. It is about the extreme sorrow so invisible inside - yet so strong that you feel you are turning to ashes.
Betrayal can sometimes be so extreme and so vengeful - that it scatters your world - and only being reborn as a phoenix in a new version of your self - will make your tears drop to heal the wound.
I believed the person I used to be died when I lost my loved ones. But from the tragedy I learned lessons that moved my soul in a stronger, more silent, more calm direction. I could stand the immense pain - and I could stay true to my values. And I learned to see people for what they do - not for what they say.
