So my current significant other had a very strong and contrary reaction to me making a joke about her wearing leather while she disciplined me. We were talking about consistency and taking vitamins and I said I was terrible at being consistent and she mentioned I needed discipline. Her brain went immediately to the healing room in 50 Shades of Grey and she started crying and asking why I wanted to hurt her! I was completely shocked and baffled. Needless to say, there was nothing I could do to convince her of her ideas. Clearly she has significant trauma she's not really dealing with.
