I don't have a Swiss Champ yet but I'd like to pair that with Knipex Cobra XS water pump pliers. I do the like duct tape, as it can patch up a lot of things when damaged, but I guess that I never looked at duct tape as replacing a tool like pliers. I'd keep all of these on me at once, not limit it to two items only. 😁 But if forced, I'd still go with the pliers and Swiss Champ, as I do like riding my bike, and pliers always come in handy in case bolts are loose, stripped and on too tight, among other reasons not bike related. I know there are bike multitools out there, and I have them, but pliers also work nice with them and other areas of life for me.
